Pump Court Chambers and Paul Robinson Solicitors co-sponsored the inaugural In Her Defence women’s charity football tournament to raise money for and awareness of Girls United. Our team of Karen May Fong, Annabel Clark, Jane Wheeler, Emma Thompson, Dagmara Selwyn-Kuzcera, and Fiona Macdonald represented Keystone for this fantastic cause of empowering girls and young women on and off the pitch. The day was action-packed with tournament competitions, prizes, food and drinks, and a range of speakers and guests. Despite very hot weather and serious competition the team made it to the third-place play-offs, but just missed out on a podium position coming away with 4th place.

Keystones construction partner Jon Close took part in a 24-hour swim relay challenge with seven swim friends in aid of Level Water. Level Water provides 1:1 swimming lessons to children with both mental and physical challenges so that they can feel confident around and enjoy being in water. Jon led out at midday on Saturday, then again during a rather blustery spell Saturday evening at 8pm, again at a serene 4am with a few stars out, and then joined a team-mate to finish the 11am–12pm slot in glorious sunshine. Sleep was somewhat elusive, but it was all good fun for a worthy cause.

In August 2025, Keystones IOM Director Geoff Kermeen and his family volunteered with Colobus Conservation in Diani, Kenya. The organisation was established in 1997 in response to an outcry from residents about the high number of deaths of colobus monkeys on the Diani Beach road. Unfortunately, despite huge efforts and numerous protection and education programmes, the deaths continue – mainly due to electrocution caused by uninsulated electricity wires. Keystone donated several used mobile phones to the team there, which Geoff delivered along with some merch, which will help them keep the sun off whilst building the primate bridges across the main road.

In October 2025, Keystones Marketing and Business Development Assistant Elizabeth Bourne, alongside her family, hosted the Champion Court Cup, a charity football match held in memory of her grandmother. The event has been running for several years, with each year supporting a different cause. This year, they were proud to be raising funds for the Stroke Association. A few of her family members were out on the pitch, whilst Elizabeth was stood safely on the sidelines. The event raised over £4,000 for the charity, which will go towards funding research and providing support to those affected by strokes.

In August, Keystones litigation partner George Lambrou completed a lifelong ambition of swimming across the Bosphorus when he took part in the 37th Annual Cross Continental race from Asia to Europe. He swam 6.5km in 1 hour and 27 minutes (current was helping). The event is held annually with around 3,000 swimmers competing from around the world.

Caroline Graham has been in Uganda again working with her charity, Shines Children. A two-day medical camp treated nearly 1,000 people free of charge, with a wide range of conditions from minor infections to chronic disabilities. It seems to be becoming a tradition for these events to have Keystone representation -– this time in the shape of Maureen Kelly’’s sister Colette, a recently retired midwife who generously shared her expertise with the local team. Caroline then travelled to Mbale to visit the Care for Girls Cooperative, a small organisation supported by Shines, that is devoted to training teenage mothers in income- generating skills including tailoring and hairdressing.

In 2026, Keystone’s employment partner Angharad Harris will be running The London Marathon to raise money for Brain Research UK. The charity funds cutting-edge projects such as reprogramming immune cells in the brain to stop them helping tumours grow and instead turn them into tumour-fighters, or using an engineered virus to both destroy cancer cells and flag resistant tumour stem cells to the immune system. She will be running with her close friend from University, Christene. We are proud to support Angharad and Christene in their fundraising.

Keystone’s employment partner Rachel Flynn serves as the Chair of the Newmarket Charitable Foundation. The charity supports several initiatives in Newmarket and the surrounding area, the latest being the installation of a new outdoor gym in the town centre.

In June 2025, Keystone’s family solicitor Naomi Hatchard took on the Orwell Challenge – a 25-mile walk around the River Orwell in Suffolk. She and fellow governors and the headteacher from Grundisburgh Primary School were raising money to introduce OPAL (an Outdoor Play and Learning program) to promote outdoor play and wellbeing for the children of the school. They raised £1,700 for the cause.

In June 2025, Keystone’s private client partner Charlotte Pollard ran the Blackheath Mud Run for Cancer Research UK – in 34-degree heat.

Keystone’s licensing partner Sarah Louise Taylor spent a few weeks working from Albania and assisting with Strays of Albania and Strays of Tropoje – a charity which assists with treating, vaccinating, and sterilising stray dogs in Albania. She spent an exhausting but very rewarding week working with two vets from Kosovo to catch, vaccinate, and sterilise over 40 dogs. Keystone partners Andrea James, Luke Elford, and Samantha Leigh also sponsored some of the dogs involved in this month’s campaign.

Keystone’s property litigation partner Ed John, commercial partner Lucy Pringle, and paralegal Adam Webb took part in the JLL Property Triathlon in June wearing team colours. Adam was in the last wave of the day, all suited-up and ready for the swim when his race was unfortunately cancelled due to an incident on the bike track. All proceeds including entry fees went toward funding for Age UK.

Keystone’s commercial partner Nicholas Tall completed the London Marathon 2025 with his two sons Will and James. They were running to raise funds for VICTA, a charity aimed at supporting children and young adults who are blind or partially sighted and their families. Nick’s younger son Ben suffers from congenital glaucoma, a rare eye condition that affects around 1 in 20,000 children in the UK. VICTA’s support has been instrumental in helping Ben to develop into the happy and confident boy he is today. The family raised over £6,000 for charity.

Keystone’s Market Research Assistant Emily Beardsmore participated in the ‘Suit Up For Jack’ campaign, donating blood to help sick children. The campaign was inspired by 12-year-old Jack Malott-Clarke who has so far required 132 units of blood and platelets to battle Severe Plastic Anaemia. Cosplayers around the world donate blood whilst in costume and share a photo of themselves with the hashtag #SuitUpForJack.

In September 2025, Keystone’s residential property solicitor Sam Hall-Burnett will be taking part in the Great North Run to raise money for Samaritans. Sam and her partner Adam will both be taking part in the run and are aiming to raise £350 each for the cause. Samaritans is a UK and Ireland–based charity that provides free, confidential emotional support to anyone who is struggling to cope, feeling distressed, or experiencing suicidal thoughts. We are proud to support Sam and Adam in their fundraising.

In aid of Gentleshaw, a local bird of prey and wildlife sanctuary, Keystone’s Technical Support Engineer Mark Painter cycled 293km/182 miles from Stoke to London. Gentleshaw takes in injured birds of prey, ensures they receive proper treatment, and releases them back into the wild whenever possible. Sadly, not every animal is so lucky. Those that have been mistreated or are too injured to be released are given a permanent, loving home at Gentleshaw. Mark raised over £1,200 with the support of the generous people at Keystone. We were delighted to support him in his fundraising.

In June 2025, Keystone’s CEO James Knight and Director of growth and innovation Mark Machray, were joined by our IOM Director Geoff Kermeen and partners Simon Jackson, Johnny Drysdale, and Winston Penhall at SAVISM’s annual clay pigeon shoot day fundraiser. SAVSIM is a global charity working with the wider veteran community, centred around wildlife conservation.

In April 2025, commercial partner Nick Watson will be participating in the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally in Val Thorens in aid of Snow Camp, a charity that aims to turn young lives around through the power of snowsports combined with engaging opportunities, positive relationships and life-changing progression. Nick and his teammates have raised over £2,000 for the charity. We were delighted to support in their fundraising.

Corporate partner Carolyn Graham took 400 pairs of glasses out to Uganda in October last year, all of which have been distributed to patients who either attended the medical camp, or who have turned up at the optometry clinic since. 400 people in Masindi can now see clearly, who couldn’t at the time, thanks to the generosity Keystone colleagues.

In March 2025, legal assistant Caroline Hayes was invited by the Chair of Surrey County Council, Saj Hussain, to a Community Champions Reception to celebrate those who have made an outstanding contribution to their community. Caroline established Cranleigh Repair Café in 2024, which brings together groups of volunteer fixers who breathe new life into items ranging from ornaments to lawnmowers. Caroline is now expanding the initiative to include and promote other recycling activities and community events.

Pensions and incentives partner Kevin Gude donned his sequin leggings and walked over hot coals, all for a charity fire-walking event run by Cabaret vs Cancer, which raises money for cancer-related causes through world-class cabaret and burlesque. Kevin raised over £500 for the cause, which will go towards working with child bereavement teams in hospices, cancer research, and supporting those currently dealing with cancer diagnoses.

Commercial partner Simon Oldfield chairs a committee created for the Friends of Bloomsbury Square The committee has regular gardening days and over the past few months has planted 3,500 bulbs throughout the area. Central flower beds have been re-planted to produce a display that will give interest in terms of height, shape and colour throughout the season.

In aid of Tommy’s, the pregnancy and baby charity, Keystone’s Marketing and Business Development Executive Paris Jones, completed her first half marathon in April 2025, taking part in London Landmarks Half Marathon. Tommy’s is dedicated to finding causes and treatments, as well as providing trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support. Paris raised over £1,100 for the charity. We were delighted to support in her fundraising.

In September 2024, Keystone paralegal Adam Webb completed the Loch Ness Marathon in 3 hours, 42 minutes. He raised £1,383 for PAPYRUS, a charity who works to prevent young suicide. Keystone was proud to support Adam in his fundraising.

Property lawyer Jason Roston joined his cousin on a 100-mile cycling challenge around London and Essex in aid of Future Dreams, a charity dedicated to creating awareness and funding research projects, with a primary focus on secondary breast cancer. Jason raised £1,800 for this cause, and will be signing up again next year!

Isle of Man based Keystone commercial litigation consultant Andrew Langan-Newton joined the Isle of Man Law Sociey colleagues in a ‘wig walk’ around Tynwald Hill in July. The walk was in aid of the Law Society’s charity People in Need who provide school uniforms and equipment, medical equipment and household basics such as white goods or small electrical appliances for struggling families.

Keystone proudly sponsored Isle of Man based corporate lawyer Hazel Dawson in the Pan-European Triathlon. Hazel raised money for Isle Listen, a local charity providing vital early intervention mental health support and training in schools.

Keystone is proud to support corporate lawyer Caroline Graham who formed a UK charity to raise money for Shines Children’s Foundation in Uganda. Caroline’s work has contributed to providing clean water, and a primary school to this rural population. Keystone was delighted to donate several laptops over recent years to provide IT classes for both children and adults.

Legal assistant Caroline Hayes hosted the first of her new Repair Café in July to offer repairs to electronic items including services to wipe data from phones and laptops so they can be recycled. It is run completely by volunteers, the repairs are free, and they will be meeting one Saturday morning a month.

In April, corporate partners Rupert Casey and Jeremy Davis, family partner Richard Abrahams and commercial partner Ian Taylorson attended a fundraising golf day at the Cotswolds Golf Club for the Cairns Cup (disability golf’s premier event equivalent of the Ryder Cup).

In July, dispute resolution partner Louise Abbott and her husband Sammy will be setting off at sunrise to bike, hike and paddle around a challenging course in a race against the sun. Louise is raising money for children’s charity, Action Medical Research, whose research helps defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. Keystone is proud to support in their fundraising.

Keystone private client lawyer Camilla Bishop will be joining the Babble ‘Ride Across Britain’ to cycle 980 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats, in September 2024. Camilla is raising money for Alzheimer’s Society, a charity helping those living with dementia today and providing hope for the future. We are delighted to support in her fundraising.

Keystone proudly sponsors private client partner Robert Knight and his brother Oliver who are cycling the entire South Downs Way in one day to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Landaid. Robert and Oli aim to cycle 100 miles off-road, and climb 4,000m in less than 14 hours, at the end of May 2024. We are thrilled to support in their fundraising.

In aid of Skylarks, a charity providing activities and therapies for autistic children, members of Keystone’s marketing team Niamh Courtaux, Paris Jones, Eimear Quinn and Tessa Shaddock took part in the MD Communications Legal 5K run in Regents Park, London. Keystone proudly supports Rupert Casey and his wife Sophie’s charity, Share Enough, a children’s clothing bank aiding over 70 children in need. Every first Friday of each month, they host an Open Morning for parents and children to exchange items they no longer need for those they do.
