We’ve reimagined the way legal services are delivered by designing a firm that puts clients first.

We’re a pioneering platform law firm, founded on the belief that the traditional legal model needed to evolve.

By creating something fundamentally different, we’ve given top-tier lawyers the freedom, tools, and support to deliver exceptional service.

We empower our lawyers to build closer, more collaborative relationships by removing unnecessary overheads and bureaucracy.

The result? Legal advice that’s commercially sharp, tailored to clients’ goals, and grounded in genuine understanding.

Keystone Law has the ability to handle complex and sophisticated matters, with a team that is experienced, knowledgeable and professional and covers all bases.

What makes
us different

Our Environmental Impact

When Keystone was founded in 2002, it was designed as a firm that would embrace remote working and therefore eradicated the need for large offices and daily commuting. This means that the firm has always maintained a very low carbon footprint in comparison to many businesses.

Our Carbon Neutral Commitment

As part of our journey to become more sustainable, we engaged an independent third party to calculate not only our annual emissions but also all emissions generated since the business was founded over 20 years ago. Since then, we have introduced targeted initiatives and formed partnerships that support our continued commitment to remaining a carbon-neutral company.

Keystone Species

Definition

Noun: keystone species; plural noun: keystone species.

Biology: Keystone species are the most important components of any ecosystem. If the Keystone species is removed, it will trigger a chain of events which will have a significant impact on the surroundings.

Lawyers helping the planet: An initiative launched by law firm, Keystone Law to actively support the wider environment through a series of actions and projects to encourage the longevity of the most important components of ecosystems.

Project 1:

Sabah Rainforest

For the third consecutive year, Keystone Law has reaffirmed its commitment to being a carbon-neutral company and to supporting initiatives that protect keystone species. To achieve this, the firm will offset the carbon emissions it generated in 2024 and 2025 by purchasing carbon removal credits in support of the Sabah Rainforest Rehabilitation project in Malaysia.

The Sabah Rainforest Rehabilitation project rehabilitates and conserves 25,000 hectares of degraded forest through enrichment planting with indigenous dipterocarp species, fast-growing pioneer trees, and forest fruit trees, while also preventing future re-logging in the project area. The forest provides vital habitat for endangered and threatened keystone species, including orangutans, red langurs, Bornean (pygmy) elephants, and rhinoceros hornbills.

Project 2:

Amazon Rainforest

To continue our commitment to carbon neutrality and protecting keystone species, Keystone Law has offset its 2023 emissions by purchasing carbon credits supporting Brazil’s Amazon Redd+ project. This initiative safeguards 105,000 hectares of rainforest, home to species such as the Woolly Monkey, Amazon River Dolphins, and Scarlet Macaw. It also provides local communities with sustainable farming training, land tenure, and education, helping to reduce poverty while preventing deforestation.

Beyond protecting life on land, the project restores riverbanks through reforestation, combats erosion and sediment pollution, and strengthens watershed protection, delivering wide-reaching environmental and social benefits for people and planet alike.

Project 3:

UK Honey Bees

The honeybee is one of the smallest keystone species, yet its role is vital. By pollinating plants, bees support ecosystems that shelter insects, feed birds, and sustain biodiversity. One third of our food relies on pollination, and without bees, farmers would face £1.8 billion in artificial pollination costs.

Alongside international projects, Keystone Law is proud to invest in UK sustainability by adopting 20 honeybee hives from Bees & Co., the world’s first carbon-neutral honey farm. Located at the Burghley Estate, these sustainable cedar hives will host over 1.5 million bees each summer, strengthening biodiversity and protecting the environment.

Project 4:

Gola Rainforest

In 2022, Keystone Law became a carbon-neutral company by offsetting all emissions generated since its launch in 2002. This was achieved through purchasing carbon credits supporting the Gola Rainforest REDD+ conservation project, which protects 68,515 hectares of tropical forest. This vital initiative safeguards keystone species such as African forest elephants, pygmy hippos, chimpanzees, hornbills, and other endangered animals, while rebuilding and strengthening fragile ecosystems.

The project also benefits 114 local communities by promoting sustainable farming, ecotourism, and alternative income-generating activities. In doing so, it reduces poverty and fosters long-term environmental resilience, aligning social progress with biodiversity conservation.
