This 1 hour session will focus on common pinch points in co-packing arrangements, and how you can use your contracts to:
- Avoid disputes about the quality of your work
- Protect against cancellations of orders or late supply of product by customers
- Create leeway on delivery times and quality obligations
- Limit your liability effectively and in a market-standard way
- Recoup investments you make in equipment, systems or staff for a specific customer
- Clarify who is responsible for EPR compliance
- Vary the agreed price to cover unexpected costs and preserve profit margin
- Deal with owns the intellectual property rights in jointly designed packaging
We will look at pro-supplier and pro-customer positions so that you can understand what each party is seeking to achieve, and how to reach a sensible compromise.
Following the 1 hour webinar, the session will run into an optional 30 minute legal clinic to give an opportunity to ask questions about problems you have experienced when negotiating co-packing contracts and discuss potential solutions for use in future.
