Robert is a Senior Associate in the Property Litigation team. He has extensive experience acting for a diverse client base, including landed estates, high-net-worth individuals, and property developers, across a broad spectrum of commercial and residential property disputes. His practice encompasses all aspects of landlord and tenant litigation, including possession claims, disrepair, and lease enforcement, as well as real property disputes involving boundaries, restrictive covenants, and easements.
Robert also advises on contentious agricultural property matters, with particular expertise in claims involving proprietary estoppel and other equitable remedies.

Agricultural Property Disputes
- Prepared and implemented a possession recovery strategy for a developer seeking to recover possession of agricultural farmland subject to AHA secured tenancies.
- Provided advice on securing land from trespassers.
- Advised on the case of Horsford v Horsford [2020] EWHC 584 (Ch), an 8-day High Court case considering partnership agreements and the assessment of detriment where countervailing benefits exist.
- Acted for landed estates in ongoing management of extensive portfolios of land and buildings subject to a residential, agricultural, and commercial tenancy agreements.
Property Litigation
- Advised landlords and tenants on both contentious and uncontested lease renewal proceedings pursuant to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.
- Advised on enforcement of restrictive covenants that would otherwise stymie development.
- Prepared and served forfeiture notices, statutory demands, and winding up petitions to recover commercial premises.
