Keystone Law is pleased to announce the appointment of 3 highly experienced consultant solicitors to the Construction team, increasing the size of the team to 9 partner-level lawyers working alongside a further 29 planning, environmental, and property specialists and making it one of the largest dedicated teams in the country.

Over the past year Keystone has increased its head count by almost 50 per cent, raising the total number of lawyers to over 140 and has attracted numerous partner-level lawyers from leading law firms, including several heads of department. Keystone now boasts the same number and calibre of senior lawyers as large City and national law firms as it continues to position itself as a credible alternative to these more traditional providers.

The three lawyers that have joined Keystone’s Construction team are:

Louise Garcia joins from Withy King where she was Partner and Head of Construction. Louise has over 20 years’ experience of contentious construction and engineering disputes acquired in the road and rail sectors, in PFI, on tunnelling and dredging projects, and in the residential, retail, hotel, education, and health and leisure sectors. Louise has particular expertise in working for clients delivering mechanical and electrical engineering services.

Martin Howe joins the team from Excello Law and has particular expertise in the interpretation and drafting of construction and related contracts for clients in both public and private sectors, and has authored more industry standard forms of contract than any lawyer currently practising.

Jason Kallis specialises in construction and property litigation and has acted for blue chip construction and property companies, insurance companies, high-net-worth individuals, retailers, and estate managers. Prior to joining Keystone Law, Jason worked at Plexus Law, DAC Beachcroft LLP, and Mishcon de Reya.

James Knight, Managing Director of Keystone Law, said:

“Following on from the firm’s successful growth last year, we have begun the New Year with a wave of strategic hires from respected law firms in order to meet client demand. The calibre of these recruits, which include many former heads of department, confirms Keystone’s position as a truly viable alternative to conventional law firms and ensures our clients continue to get the very best advice.”
