Karen joined Keystone as General Counsel in 2018. Prior to that she specialised in Dispute Resolution predominantly acting for insurers. She heads the Office for General Counsel team who advise the firm and its membership on matters of risk. This includes providing guidance on ethical and regulatory matters and dealing with the few complaints and claims which Keystone receives.
Karen also heads up the firm’s Knowledge and Learning and Development functions overseeing the firm’s training and knowledge. Karen is dual-qualified, having qualified as an attorney in South Africa in 1999 prior to qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2000.
