Keystone Law has advised Tooth Fairy Healthcare Ltd in connection with a venture capital fundraising round.

Founded in 2017 by Deepak Aulak and Kian Dhinsa, Tooth Fairy is an award-winning, dentist-founded and led service, offering invisible aligners.

In 2020, the global clear aligners market size was valued at US$2.6 billion. It is a sector set to experience significant growth, which has already seen companies like SmileDirectClub, Align Technology and Angelalign Technology complete blockbuster IPOs.

Tooth Fairy raised £3 million, which was led by impact VC firm ADA Ventures and Netherlands-based VC firm Slingshot Ventures, with participation from Seedcamp, All Iron Ventures, Haatch Ventures, as well as angels from the Atomico Angel Programme.

The Keystone team was led by corporate lawyer Simon Holden, who also advised Tooth Fairy in relation to its first fundraising round last year.

Deepak Aulak, Director and Co-Founder of Tooth Fairy, commented:

“We have found Simon and his advice to be one of the most important aspects of closing this deal; not only quickly, but fairly. With his sound legal advice, we can have trust in negotiating terms and confidence in being backed up with solid legal support. Having a legal partner like Simon, who is on your side and guiding you throughout the process, is invaluable and instrumental for any founder’s journey.”

Simon added:

“Working with Deepak and Kian is a pleasure. They have built a great company in a sector set to enjoy significant growth in the years ahead. Growing their company as quickly as they have done is testament to their vision and hard work. I look forward to continuing to work with them as they scale up the business to even greater heights, as they democratise dentistry along the way.”
