Keystone Law is pleased to announce that partner James Healy-Pratt has today been appointed a Deputy High Court Judge in England and Wales following an open competition run by the Judicial Appointments Commission.

The role of a Deputy High Court Judge is set aside for those who have the experience and knowledge to deal with complex cases in major court centres throughout the country. James has been appointed to serve within the Queen’s Bench Division based at the Royal Courts of Justice in London and also at district registries across England and Wales where he will serve as a judge for a minimum of thirty days each year, ruling on civil cases as opposed to criminal or family law cases.

James is an international aviation lawyer, with 30 years’ experience of resolving high-profile accidents worldwide. He has an in-depth understanding of the aviation insurance market based on his many years working in the profession representing families, pilots, crew and insurers.

James also sits part-time as HM Coroner in Sussex, hearing a wide range of Inquests.
