Advised numerous distressed investors in relation to debt trading in investments in UK, Germany, France, Spain, Iceland, Netherlands, Greece and the US.
Acted for a Greek shipowning group in relation to the restructuring of the group.
Advised a Greek shipowning group on a US$143 million refinancing project with a French financial institution in relation to seven dry bulk carriers, involving inter alia the negotiation of a junior bond subscription agreement and various intercreditor arrangements.

Advised on a joint venture agreement for the provision of agency services to an FSRU in a Greek port.
Acted for a Greek-based operator on the negotiation of its slot agreements, bills of lading and freight forwarding agreements, and advised on related disputes.

Advised Moreas S.A. and its sponsors in relation to the €1.4 billion Korinth Tripoli Kalamata Motorway PPP Project in Greece.
Acted for the Naspers Group in relation to its successful disposal of its MultiChoice/Nova pay-TV business in Greece.
Advised and drafted information pack on Iranian sanctions for a Greek bank from an EU and US perspective.
Advised the Greek Government in relation to the successful privatisation of Olympic Airways.
Advised a Greek shipping company on its sale and leaseback arrangements with a Chinese financier.
Advised a UK financier on several senior secured facilities provided to the Greek market.
Acted for a major European bank on a US$100 million secured term loan provided to one of the largest Greek companies.
Advised Greek shipping companies on their joint ventures with other shipping companies.

Data Protection

Advised a Greek construction company in the energy and natural resources sector on various complex contracts relating to the construction of a floating LNG terminal for the import of LNG to Cyprus including a floating storage and regasification unit, a jetty for mooring the FSRU, a pipeline and related infrastructure.

Dispute Resolution

Acted for owners in successful applications on appeal for the release of vessels from arrest without the provision of security in Italy, France, Greece and Holland.
Acted for French shipowners in a dispute with a Greek company arising out of memoranda of agreement on the Norwegian Sale Form for the sale of five handymax carriers. Liaised with local lawyers in relation to vessel arrest in China.
Resolved a high-value dispute between a Russian Government entity and a Greek shipowner.
Acted for a Greek high-net-worth individual in a closely contested LMAA arbitration against an Italian shipyard in a high-value dispute arising out of an aborted construction contract for a new-build luxury superyacht.
Defended a large group action of personal injury claims brought against Greek clients following an alleged food poisoning incident on board one of their cruise ships. Negotiated pre-trial settlement of all of the claims and successfully resolved the charterer’s associated loss of profit claim as well as the costs stemming from the personal injury claims.
Acted for a Greek shipowner in an LMAA arbitration against an Italian shipyard in claims arising under the yard.
Acted for the former managing director of a joint venture between a Greek hotelier and a sheikh including four-week Commercial Court trial involving €31m and advising on a related £8m arbitration.
Acted for a Greek construction company in the energy sector in a dispute with its Dutch counterparty under a subcontract agreement, in a project involving piping and other equipment fabrication, erection and installation in the Netherlands.
