Keystone Law has advised the founder of UK-based technology company Videvo on the sale of its entire share capital to Spanish-based technology company Freepik Company.

Founded by Tom Limb in 2012, Videvo is an online resource for “freemium” video assets, audio clips and motion graphics for content creators, with more than 650,000 active users from around the world.

Freepik Company specialises in producing and distributing graphic resources. It is part of the Freepik group which offers freemium illustrations, icons, presentation templates and an online editor.

The acquisition of Videvo will significantly expand Freepik’s portfolio of videos and sound effects to its 500,000 users.

The Keystone Law team was led by corporate partner Will Nash and included tax partner Paul McCourt, tax solicitor Michael Fluss, property solicitor Ajay Rana, employment partner Jane Wheeler and commercial partner Lucy Blick-Jones.

Tom Limb, founder and CEO of Videvo, commented:

“Videvo has been working with Keystone for several years now, so when it came to selling the business, it was a natural choice for me to use their services. The extensive knowledge, responsiveness, and professionalism of Will and the team left me feeling very well looked after throughout the process.”

Will Nash added:

“Videvo has achieved fantastic growth over the last ten years and we were delighted to advised them on this exit and on the next chapter of their journey as they join Freepik Company.”
